{Fun Flower} Science Experiments for Kids

Uncategorized

We adore science activities! Whether it's a unique twist on a baking soda and vinegar experiment or making our own erupting cupcakes, we love playing and learning with science experiments for kids.  After a quick nature walk, we used our flower collection to learn about pigmentation. And, we learned about how much my daughter loves to use a hammer.... continue reading...

{Touch and Feel} Spring Suncatchers

Uncategorized

We love making suncatchers! Whether it is a simple melted pony bead suncatcher or one that can help you learn your name, we use every excuse to put suncatchers in our window.  This time, we made a suncatcher that was not only gorgeous in the light, but also a sensory experience for my kids as well... continue reading...

Magic Love Notes for Kids

Uncategorized

I love coming up with magic love notes for kids. We originally tried these magic loves notes that my husband had written for my daughter while he was away at a conference.  But, this time, we didn't make magic love notes because my husband was traveling. We were inspired to make these after I found my daughter crying in the car... continue reading...

{Plastic Eggs and Watercolors} Art for Preschoolers

Uncategorized

I have a love/hate relationship with plastic eggs.... But, I secretly love to find unique ways to use them.  In fact, we created a plastic egg memory game and we even made glowing egg shakers.  My kids loved those activities, but I was determined to figure out a way to use plastic eggs with art. This is our idea for using plastic eggs as art for preschoolers! continue reading...

Activities for Baby: Make a DIY Ball Drop

Uncategorized

My baby loves everything that rolls. He has always been drawn to cars and, now, he loves all different types of balls.  He also loves plastic eggs, so we made an egg drop game for him which he adores.  Since he's walking, I created a DIY ball drop that has become one our favorite activities for baby. This couldn't be easier to make and my preschooler loved it, too! continue reading...

Monthly Goals for April 2014

Uncategorized

I can't believe that it is APRIL! This year is flying by already.  I feel like we just finished unwrapping presents at Christmas!  Instead, we've just finished celebrating my son's 1st birthday and we will celebrate my daughter's 4th birthday at the end of April.  Woah. Even though it's all going by so quickly, we are loving every single moment! continue reading...

{Sticky} Cloud Art for Kids

Uncategorized

We love sticky art in our house. There is something about working near the window that makes this {wannabe} photographer so happy.  It's why we've done sticky art in the past.  But, this time, daydreaming by the window inspired us to make cloud art.  We just love clouds. Bonus: BOTH my baby and my preschooler adored this super simple, sticky art!! continue reading...

I adore playing baby games with my one-year-old. {Snowflake} Princess Crowns for Kids

Make a snowflake princess crown easily

It's true.  My three-year-old wishes she was a princess. Since I always seem to step on her play crowns and break them {{whoops}}, I've had to come up with lots of different ways to make princess crowns for her.  Since her favorite princesses are Elsa and Anna from Frozen, we transformed an ordinary paper plate into a snowflake princess crown for her!! Amazon links are included - thank you for continue reading...

{DIY Fabric Beads} Making Jewelry with Kids

I adore making jewelry with kids. Particularly because I get to make jewelry for myself, too!  My daughter is obsessed with making jewelry, so we've tried lots of different methods.  When I saw fabric tape at the craft store, I knew that I could make some adorable, cheap DIY beads for her! continue reading...
