You see, I feel like I already know you…
Since becoming a Mom, you ride on an overwhelming wave where one day you love everything about being a Mom and the next? The next day you feel completely overwhelmed by motherhood as if you have no idea what you’re doing or how you’ll survive the day. It’s as if no one really told you how stressful raising a child was going to be. And, all you want is to just be happy and enjoy being a Mom. Yet, you keep finding yourself drained, overwhelmed, and waiting around for bedtime or naptime so you can finally have some peace and quiet.
I get it because I’ve felt that way too.
In fact, I used to feel that way a lot of the time. So, don’t worry, there are at least two of us Moms in the world who are brave enough to admit it – you and me, girl. *fist pump*
The good news is that around here, those feelings are normal and they don’t make you a “bad” Mom. In fact, I’d be worried if you weren’t feeling this way every now and again.
What worries me is when this becomes the way your life feels all the time.
That’s why I’m here.
I’m going to share all the secrets that I’ve learned to help pull you away from that stressed and overwhelming feeling and start to strive for a calmer, less anxious Mom.
Because it is possible to feel better.
It starts with reminding ourselves of simple things like this…
“No matter how much I get done or is left UNDONE, at the end of the day, I AM ENOUGH.” ~ Brene Brown.
You are enough, friend. Even if your to-do list didn’t get finished today, piles of clean laundry are sitting on the couch, and all you want to do is ignore it all and eat Ben and Jerry’s with your jammies on. It’s okay. I get you.
You and I, we’re not going to be perfect around here. We are redefining what it means to live “happily ever after” by choosing to work hard even though sometimes it feels easier to throw in the towel and give up. By doing the work, you’ll learn how to manage the stress and overwhelm so that you can enjoy your best possible life with your kids.
That’s what it was supposed to be all about right? We’ve got this.
