Monthly Goals for April 2014

Uncategorized

I can’t believe that it is APRIL!

This year is flying by already.  I feel like we just finished unwrapping presents at Christmas!  Instead, we’ve just finished celebrating my son’s 1st birthday and we will celebrate my daughter’s 4th birthday at the end of April.  Woah.

Even though it’s all going by so quickly, we are loving every single moment!

March was great.  I even took some embarrassing baby photos of my son – that was fun!  Although we didn’t hit everything on my monthly goals list, this past month has been very good to my family.  We’re feeling very grateful.  Let’s revisit last month’s goals before we head into April’s goals.

Monthly Goals from March

  •  Work time: My husband has been great about giving me an afternoon or a dinner out by myself to work.  It’s been great and it’s really allowed me to get some momentum on this blog!
  • Community: Although being sick has slowed us down a bit this month, we’ve had a ton of fun exploring our community.  The beach has been where we have spent the most time.  I’m proud of my little girl who has always been so afraid of the waves, but recently, she’s been running out into the ocean with us.  So fun!
  • Family Connections: We’ve enjoyed a lot of family time this month and really focusing on how much we love being together.  My daughter has been repeating, “This is the best day, EVER!”  She might be quoting the movie Frozen, but I like to think that she really means it! 🙂

Monthly Goals for April

  • Work Time: I’m keeping this goal because it has been incredibly helpful this past month.  But, I am also following my strict office hours that I set for myself: No work during 9am-1pm and 3pm-7pm every day when my kids are awake and with me.  That’s our time together! (Prioritize)

Note: I schedule everything during the day so that I can be with my kids without being on the computer. It’s a lifesaver!!

  • Explore: I want to get outside of my city and do some exploring.  There are some great beaches up the road, a water park about an hour away, and a neat little town that is an hour south that my husband and I have always wanted to visit.  This month, we will do one of those trips! (Prioritize, connections)
  • Party: My son turned one and my daughter is turning four.  We are throwing a big party for the two of them.  This month, it’s all about coming up with some fun ways to celebrate with friends and family! (connections, prioritize, gratitude)

Please be sure to check out the other great bloggers who are posting their monthly goals as well.  And, come back in a month to link up your own goals or to stay encouraged throughout the year!
