Inside this post, I’ll share exactly how to take aluminum foil and turn it into the most engaging game for your toddler ever. Yes, really.
Ready for some easy fun? Let’s go!
Full disclosure: I LOVE my aluminum foil.
Which means that I take any activity that uses aluminum foil very seriously. I mean, I can’t cook my favorite crockpot chili without aluminum foil, so the activity has to be worth it!
And, this activity?
It’s worth every. single. inch. of aluminum foil because it’s SO FUN and SO EASY to prep.
But first, let’s get to why you’d want to do this fun toddler activity in the first place…
Why Set Up Fun Toddler Activities?
If you follow us over on Instagram, you know that we share daily activities to do with your kids during the week. The goal of our Instagram page is to share fun ways to play with your kids with things that you already have around the house, like aluminum foil. Doing fun toddler activities not only gives you a minute to reheat your morning coffee (I get you, girl), but it also works on skills that are essential for your child’s development.
So, while I share quick activities on Instagram because I know how stressful motherhood can be and how much you need a little coffee break, I also value these fun toddler activities because they’re crucial for my kiddos development and YOUR child’s development too!
Basically, a fun toddler activity are the ultimate win/win: Good for Momma and good for growing brains!
So, do you think it’s worth it to grab that aluminum foil yet??
Let’s do it!
Supplies For This Fun Toddler Activity
- Aluminum Foil, but if you want an alternative, try:
- Newspaper
- Tissue paper
- Wrapping paper
- Washcloths & clothespins
- Small boxes or tupperware
- Your toddler’s favorite toys
How to Set This Toddler Activity Up in Minutes
- Prep this activity by wrapping a few beloved toys in aluminum foil.
- Place all the toys on a blanket or in a basket for your child to go and unwrap.
That’s it!
What if they want to keep wrapping and unwrapping??
Truth??
Toddlers are going to want to do this over and over and over…
In order for you to stay sane while your child does this simple activity, draw a few color circles for your toddler to sort the toys when they’re all done. This gives them a purpose beyond just unwrapping the toys and keeps them interested in the activity for longer!
Remember, it doesn’t have to be complicated to be FUN…
I know your toddler will love this however you set it up!
