My three-year-old had climbed onto the kitchen counter tops, ripped open a party bag, and carefully popped a candy in his mouth (then two or three more).
When I arrived on the scene, he looked at me and said, “forry, Mommy. I poison myself.”
It took me a minute to actually understood what he meant, but as he clutched his stomach, I knew…
My son had a tummy ache.
He is quick to grab sugary snacks instead of healthy ones. That morning, he learned a valuable lesson: too many sweets can make you feel sick!
In an effort to keep his sweet tooth happy while actually giving him the foods that his body needs, we decided to try a different kind of treat: green smoothies.
Sweet, cold, and packed with spinach, this epic smoothie recipe will have your kids sneaking into the fridge instead of the candy bag!
