Family Time with Glow in the Dark Musical Instruments

Uncategorized

Glow in the Dark Musical Instruments from HappilyevermomHi Everyone!

To meet one of my monthly goals for January, I put together some glow in the dark musical instruments for my family to play with.  My kids received a number of musical instruments for Christmas and I was inspired to use them with the pack of glow sticks that I picked up at Michael’s Craft Store.  There seems to be an endless basket of dollar glow sticks that have been taunting me for months at that store, so I finally threw some in my cart.  I’m so glad that I did because it inspired a beautiful jam session with my family!

Materials for Glow in the Dark Jingle Bell BraceletsMy daughter and I started with our pack of fuzzy sticks that we received from Craft Project Ideas and began lacing our jingle bells that we used for Jingle Bell Painting last month.

Glow in the dark dancing with drumsCan you see her pink shirt?  It’s really hard to take pictures of moving things in the dark, but I love that there are glowing streaks from my family moving and dancing!

Glow in the Dark dancing and drummingIt was a simple and cheap way to use our musical instruments, but it got us all really excited to spend time together after a long day!

Your Turn!

How do you come together with your family after a long day?

signatureIn full disclosure, I received some of these craft materials for free from Craft Project Ideas.  Although they provided me with some materials, all of the ideas and opinions on this page are my own.  Regardless, I love checking out their website because they have great materials and ideas all in one place!  You can find them here on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter.
